LMB Joinery is a father-and-son workshop on the road. Hardwood floors, skirting and picture rails, wall panelling, and the built-in storage that makes a room finally make sense. Quiet on site. Tidy at the end of every day. Built so the next owner will ask who did it.
Two generations
The reason clients keep ringing back, year after year, is simple: the same two people who measured the job are the two people fitting it. Nothing gets handed to a stranger.
Joiner — 25+ years on the tools
"If it's not right by the time I leave, I haven't left."

"Dad taught me you measure your work by what it looks like in five years, not five minutes."
What we make
Not a builder. Not a fit-out company. Wood, walls and the things you fix to them — done by the people who measured them.
Solid and engineered oak, walnut, ash. Subfloor prep, acoustic underlay, edge-finishing, threshold detailing.
Profile-matched to period properties or run fresh from new stock. Scribed to walls that haven't been straight since 1908.
Shaker, beaded, fluted and flat-panel walls. Understairs cupboards, alcove joinery, banquette seating with the lid that actually shuts.
Hung, swung, or slid inside the wall. Solid-core hardwood, rebated frames, ironmongery sourced to suit the era of the house.
A real client's story
The job most often described in our reviews wasn't a job — it was four years. It started with a floor. Here's what happened next, in the client's own order.
A single room — oak boards, properly laid. The client expected a tradesman. They got two who tidied up at the end of every day.
Back in to match the new floor. Profiles run to suit the rest of the house. The kind of detail you stop noticing because it just looks right.
Half the ground floor by now. Shaker panelling to dado height. Understairs cupboards that finally fit the hoover, the boots, and the parcels.
Because by this point, why ring anyone else? Two solid-oak pocket doors, cassette frames in next month.
"Two years on, the floor is just as good as the day they laid it. We've had them back for the skirting, the panelling, the storage under the stairs — and they're coming back again for pocket doors. The most trustworthy joiners we know."— repeat client, paraphrased from review

What clients say
"No mess. Quiet — and we had a newborn at the time. They worked around us, not the other way round."
"Nothing was too much bother. We kept finding extra bits and they just folded them into the job."
"Two years on the floor still looks the day they laid it. Booking them again for pocket doors."
